Jakarta, Kabartujuhsatu.news, -In building a better future, Indonesia need to work together, through international cooperation, public-private partnerships, and cross-sectoral integration.  The government must ensure that low-carbon, green growth development strategies are mainstreamed in our economic recovery stimulus package.

For example, strengthening food security and building more efficient, less wasteful food supply chains must not come at the cost of environmental degradation. And meeting the growing need for energy as economic growth recovers must rely on clean and renewable sources.

“We should also consider that green growth solutions will often create more and better quality jobs – green jobs – compared to the business-as-usual alternative,” said the Minister while giving a speech at the P4G meeting, which was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Close cooperation and collaborative action by a diverse and inclusive range of stakeholders are needed to take advantage of the considerable opportunities ahead.

“We recognize the importance of our respective efforts as we strive to strengthen our resilience and build a better future at this critical time for Indonesia and the world. And now is the perfect time to uphold coordinated global action for a better and more sustainable world,” continued the Minister.

In this context, P4G plays a strategic role by bringing all stakeholders together to deliver the results promised by the Paris Climate Agreement and the SDGs in five key areas: food and agriculture, water, energy, cities, and the circular economy.

Through the engagement and cooperation of the private sector, government, and civil society organizations, we hope P4G will become the world’s leading forum for developing concrete and innovative public-private partnerships at scale to achieve green, climate-resilient, and inclusive economic growth.

“The P4G Seoul Summit 2021, to be held in May, will be a key event for the global acceleration of action and impacts, including those of P4G’s pioneering green partnerships to deliver inclusive and sustainable green growth. Today, we gather to share this vision and to prepare the actions that each party will contribute,” said the Minister.

Closing his speech, the Minister of National Development Planning hopes that the forum can increase stakeholder collaboration for a greener and resilient future.

“In closing, I would like to express my appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea, the Danish Government, honourable speakers, committees, and all other participants for your warm and continuing support. I hope today’s forum will be a productive platform to enhance awareness and collaboration from every stakeholder towards a greener, more resilient future” he concluded.
